Health Insurance Plan - Denial of Naturopathic Services

If a health plan denies naturopathic services (with appropriate CPT and ICD codes used), a consumer should file a grievance with their health plan provider.  If the grievance is denied at that level, a consumer has the right to apply for an Independent Medical Review (IMR) or file a Consumer Complaint of the denial with the California Department of Managed Health Care.

For more information about the IMR and Consumer Complaints for health plan denials, please visit the California Department of Managed Health Care File a Complaint Page here.
